The following pages are research and documentation of this early painting depicting an American Marine action.

The owner of the painting wishes to sell to a group of interested military men or military historians. Hopefully the groups intention is to donate it to the new US Marine Corps Museum in Washington D.C.  The museum is scheduled to open in 2007.
